Have you always wanted to come to MWKTK but missed out on securing a place?

The good news is that we have a limited number of spots available for NEW SCHOOLS to attend in 2018!

We don’t expect these places to be available for long, so if you want to join us, register quick smart!!!

  1. Create an account (if you don’t already have one)
  2. Log in to the website using the details you just created
  3. Click the Melbourne Water Conference button and enter your details

If you are a regular conference attendee and have forgotten to sign up, you can still register but at this stage you will be placed on a waiting list.

Learn more about the conference on the event page.

Water: enhancing life and liveability

We are encouraging schools to think about the role that water plays in creating healthy communities and liveable, resilient cities (like the world’s most liveable city – Melbourne!).

This may include exploring topics such as:

  • Water quality testing and water bug monitoring
  • Role of water in agriculture and food production
  • Global access to water for drinking and sanitation
  • The need for water in maintaining biodiversity
  • Water efficiency and Target 155
  • The impact of weather patterns on water storages
  • Climate change and water supplies and quality

Get your toilet jokes ready!

We are partnering with WaterAid in 2018 to include a “giving back” component to the conference. WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

As part of this partnership we are planning for a “Build a Loo” challenge as part of the MWKTK opening. So of course, there will have to be plenty of bad toilet jokes involved…..

We’d love for all KTK schools around the country to get involved and support WaterAid’s work. Stay tuned for more information in Term 2…..
