MWKTK16 – get ready to travel through space and time!
What’s new for MWKTK16?
Every year the Melbourne Water KTK Conference is extremely popular but the interest that we had from schools this year really surprised us! We were sold out before the end of week 1 of the 2016 school year. To try and accommodate as many schools as possible, we have increased delegate numbers to over 550 students and teachers from almost 60 schools!
If you haven’t already heard the news, we are on the move in 2016. Our host for day 1 will be The University of Melbourne. We are very excited about this new partnership and think that the students will really get a buzz out of teaching at a uni. Stay tuned for some other exciting new additions to the conference program that this new venue will allow.
Past, Present, Future
To celebrate a decade of the Melbourne Water Kids Teaching Kids Conference, the theme for 2016 is Past, Present, Future. We are challenging students to jump into a time machine (DeLorean, Tardis or HG Well-style – your choice) and think about how our reliance on water and impact on waterway health has changed, and to imagine what this might, and should, look like into the future.
We couldn’t do it without our sponsors!
The Melbourne Water Kids Teaching Kids Conference could not happen without the involvement of all of our amazing sponsor organisations. We would like to thank you for your support of KTK and commitment to empowering the leaders of tomorrow to have their voice heard today.
Firstly, we must acknowledge Melbourne Water as our fabulous Naming Rights Sponsor for the last 10 years.
